| New judged categories: |
Quilters can submit entries for judging by an AQS-certified judge, Klaudeen Hansen of Wisconsin, with cash prizes. Winners will have ribbons when show opens. Entry fee is $5 per item. |

| New deadlines: |
All entry forms must be turned in by Tuesday, May 6, to facilitate judging and planning. Entry forms are available on this website, in local quilt shops and from Carol Doyle. They must be returned to Carol in person or by mail. Quilts will be turned in on Wednesday, June 11, at the Civic Center. |

| What you’ll see: |
Hundreds of quilts made by guild members and quilters in the community. Viewers vote Friday and Saturday; winners will have ribbons Sunday. There is no entry fee for non-judged quilts. All quilts will be returned after the show closes Sunday. |

| Special exhibits: |
Challenge quilts that include a designated fabric, displayed without the maker’s name during voting Friday and Saturday. Quilts will have names and ribbons on Sunday. Contact: Judy Haas.
Also, BHQG Wholecloth Challenge quilts; Tri-state Longarm Quilters challenge quilts; Hoffman Challenge quilts;Chadron, NE Star Challenge and a challenge group from Sun Prairie Quilters Guild of Wisconsin. |

Vendors offering a well-stocked marketplace will have their booths open during all show hours. |

| Free trunk shows |
and demos by guild members and vendors. Schedule announced when available. |

| Appraisals |
of quilts old and new, by an NQA-certified appraiser, Jan Sears of Nebraska. $35 for formal appraisals, $20 for verbal evalutions. Appointments are encouraged. Contact: Jane McCasland. |

| Silent auction |
of “little quilts” to benefit Hospice House of the Black Hills. For information or to donate a quilt, contact Shari West-Twitero. |

| Sale of quilts |
to benefit Project Warmth. Contact: Susan Corbin. |

| Sale of quilts |
and quilted items made by guild members. Maker sets firm price and guild receives a percentage. Contact: Nyla Christensen Raffle quilt drawing for the guild’s 2008 quilt, “Lime Zest.” The queen-sized quilt was pieced by guild members and longarm quilted by Rebecca Smith of Black Hills Quilting. Tickets are $1 or $5 for 6 and will be sold until the drawing Sunday afternoon. Contact: Janet Gunn. |

| Awards banquet: |
Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Alpine Room. Guest speaker is Vi Colombe of Mission, arts-grant winner and maker of non-traditional star quilts. Cash bar. Seating is limited. Tickets are $25 and go on sale April 1. Contact: Joanne Anderson. |
